What home can you afford?
Put in what you earn, what you already owe and your deposit. The calculator shows the price range banks are likely to consider, the repayment, and the transfer duty you'd pay.
You could look at homes up to about
R 2 070 749
- Bond amount
- R 1 920 749
- Monthly repayment
- R 19 500
- Transfer duty at that price
- R 38 031
- Same bond over 30 years
- R 17 930 a month
Based on the common bank guideline that the bond repayment stays within about 30% of gross household income. Transfer duty uses SARS rates; attorney, bond registration and deeds office fees come on top. Each bank does its own affordability and credit assessment.
One application, several banks
We submit your home loan application through a bond aggregator accredited with the major banks. Each bank makes its own offer, and you choose the one that suits you. GoFund is paid by the bank, not you, so our service is free to customers.
Self-employed?
Banks need to see your income through your business's financial statements, your tax assessments and an accountant's income confirmation letter. If any of those are missing, an accountant on our panel can prepare them inside your application.

IQprop sends its property investors' home loan applications to GoFund.
GoFund prepares and submits applications on your behalf; it is not a credit provider. Every amount, rate, turnaround and qualifying rule belongs to the finance house concerned, differs between them, and can change without notice. Only a finance house can approve credit.
