How GoFund is paid
GoFund is paid by the financier, not you. Our service is free to customers: when your funding pays out, the finance house pays GoFund a commission. Here is all of it, in one place.
- Free to customers
- GoFund is paid by the financier, not you. No application fee, no success fee.
- Paid by the financier
- Only when your funding pays out. How much
- Matched on their rules
- We submit only where your file meets the finance house's own criteria, not where we earn most.
- Not a credit provider
- We prepare and submit for you. Only a finance house approves credit.
What finance houses pay us
Each finance house pays GoFund a commission, a percentage of the amount it funds, once the money reaches you. The finance house pays it, not you. GoFund adds nothing to your loan and never charges you a fee.
When we submit your application, your dashboard shows each finance house it went to and the commission that finance house pays us. You see it before you accept any offer.
We submit only to finance houses whose own published criteria your file meets. If several fit, you choose the offer. Commission never decides where your application goes.

A worked example
A R 1 500 000 home loan over 20 years at prime (10.75%, 25 Sept 2026)
- Monthly instalment
- R 15 228
- Total repaid over 20 years
- R 3 654 824
- Of which interest
- R 2 154 824
- Paid to GoFund by you
- R 0
Your bank sets your actual rate, which can be above or below prime. Bond registration, transfer duty and attorney fees are separate; the bond calculator estimates them.
Business finance
Business lenders price each deal on its own risk, so there is no honest single rate to show. When an offer comes back, we put these side by side for you:
- the total amount you will repay, in rand
- the term and how often you repay
- any initiation, admin or early-settlement fee
- the commission that finance house pays GoFund
Compare offers on the total repayable, not the rate alone. A factor rate or a monthly rate can look small and cost more than an annual rate.
Accountants and suppliers who refer you
Partners who have completed GoFund Academy accreditation receive 30% of the commission GoFund earns on your deal, including on a registered bond. It comes from our share and costs you nothing extra, and they tell you they receive it.
Accountants you appoint through GoFund
If you need financial statements prepared, you pay the firm the fixed price it quoted. GoFund keeps 10% of that price as a platform fee, from the firm's side. The price you see is the price you pay.
GoFund Academy
Accountants pay R 5 000 plus VAT for the accreditation course. Applicants never pay for it.
